Pianist and Teacher
Ryan Greene is Director of the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, and Director of Digital Operations for The Frances Clark Center. Ryan recently finished a six year tenure as piano faculty at Centre for Musical Minds, a music school in Frisco, Texas under the leadership of Kristin Yost. Mr. Greene holds a Master’s in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor’s in Piano Performance from Butler University.
Mr. Greene regularly presents at local, state, and national conferences, adjudicates local festivals and competitions, and has spent multiple summers teaching at Interlochen Arts Camp and the SMU Institute for Young Pianists. In the 2016-2017 school year Ryan served as adjunct lecturer at Southern Methodist University where he taught private and group lessons in the SMU Piano Prep Department. He organized and hosted the fourth MTNA Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium in January 2015 at Southern Methodist University. In 2013 Mr. Greene served as chair of the Young Professionals Track at the MTNA National Conference after co-founding the Track with eight of his peers the previous year. Ryan played a substantial role in the creation of the Piano Magazine's new website, which features thousands of articles on piano teaching and performance in a one-of-a-kind searchable database.
Ryan lives in Dayton Ohio with his wife Claire Greene, daughter Paige, dog Poppi, and cat Sugar.
